  • Promote Physical Rehabilitation

TYPE OF SESSIONS

Group and individual sessions are available to schools, preschools, nursing homes, health care institutions and other community-based agencies. The music therapist provides services tailored to specific needs of the agency and includes regular progress evaluations.

Individual sessions are available to individuals with varying disabilities and their needs. A music therapist will work with each individual to address special goals and objectives that are determined by the therapist in close collaboration with parents and caregivers.

Small group sessions are available for 2 to 3 individuals in a small group setting and focus primarily on social goals like sharing, taking turns, cooperating with others, appropriate communication and more, all in the context of group music making. A music therapist works with each individual to address specific needs within the group setting. An assessment is required prior to group placement.
